Song ('Song') is a PhD student working with Dr. Nicholas Giori
and Dr. Dennis Carter. Song's research is on the mechanical
aetiology of osteoarthritis following meniscectomy. Song
has developed a loading device that allows complete sheep knees
to be imaged at high resolution using MRI. As a result, he can
directly measure cartilage thickness and obtain cartilage strain
maps under physiologic cyclic loading conditions. |
